Initial thoughts on resolutions surrounding the blog for this year:

Generally speaking – tackling lots-a projects around the house
and the liberal incorporation of more white.
More specifically for “show and tell” I hope to share these projects
(not in any particular order):

1. Take pictures of our guest room and office
     to complete the home tour.
Obviously not our guest room, but a great inspiration:

2. Update the outdated pictures from the home tour.
An outdated picture of our living room:

3. Paint the TV console a lovely shade of white.
     The console now:

4. (Probably) sell the dining room china cabinet (again)
and pick up a new project to substitute.
     The current china cabinet:

5. Make some chair seat covers for the dining room chairs.
     Perhaps something along these lines:

6. Dream up some new window treatments for the kitchen
and be content with the things we can't change.
     AND pray for a miracle
(that the landlord would allow us to paint the cabinets).
     The drab kitchen now:

7. Shop more second-hand –
     hit up auctions, thrift stores,
     garage sales, and flea markets.

8.  Rearrange and redecorate the house repeatedly
      and document the evolution.
      Pictures to follow!

*Additional impulsive projects to be determined.
*All resolutions are guaranteed to fluctuate.

  1. Can't wait to follow along with you and look at all your great pretty photos!

  2. Hi Sarah Lynne! I've just found out your blog and I like it very much! I love white, too, and I'll stay tuned to see your resolutions coming true ;)
PS: naturally I'm your new follower!

  3. love your inspiration pics and that china cabinet is beautiful!

i also want to thrift store, auction, second hand shop. My parents do it but i have always been a hit up pottery barn girl and i am getting over that stage

  4. Can't wait to see what new project you tackle for the dining room hutch. It kills me that I had a dining table similar to the one in the picture from country living, and got rid of it. The one we have not is way better quality and came with a hutch, but the white is so very pretty. Sigh! Love your white decorating.

  5. If the landlord is smart, he/she will let you do whatever you want. You have some great ideas.
